Golf at AstoriaAstoria Golf and Country Club is a private, member owned Club that features one of the most enjoyable golf courses in the state of Oregon, as well as one of the best classic golf courses in the country. Designed by George Junior and Charles Haldeman and completed in 1924, Astoria offers a memorable and scenic layout that takes full advantage of the rolling sand dunes that define the Clatsop Plains.
| Course Tour Astoria GCC is highly regarded among golf course raters who have consistently acknowledged the genius of its unique design. In 1997 Golf Week Magazine ranked the course #89 in the Top 100 Classic Courses in the United States. By comparison, the North Course at Olympia Fields near Chicago, IL, which hosted the 2003 US Open, was ranked #86 that year by the same publication, just 3 spots ahead of Astoria. | |

| Oregon Coast Invitational In 1937 Astoria Golf & Country Club first hosted the prestigious Oregon Coast Invitational Tournament, one of the northwest's premier amateur golf events and the second oldest tournament in Oregon. AGCC became the tournament's permanent home in 1950. Over 400 golfers from around the Northwest and other parts of the country converge annually on the Oregon Coast for this unique 8-day match play tournament - which also includes several social events & fine dining, featuring exquisite food, live music, and a fulfilling week of camaraderie and competitive golf on a fantastic championship caliber course. | |
